Administrative HistoryFrederick William Nunn was Honorary Secretary of the Greenwich Antiquarian Society and a member of the Works Committee of the Woolwich Antiquarian Society. The 1901 census records that he was born in Woolwich in 1858 and was living on his own means at 15 Handen Road, Lee, London.

The archaeological exploration of Lesnes Abbey was undertaken by the Works Committee of the Woolwich Antiquarian Society in 1910. Frederick William Nunn took photographs of the various archaelogical finds uncovered during the dig.
