Administrative HistoryMay Hocking, born in Woolwich Registration District in 1894 was the first woman to be elected to Crayford Urban District Council, winning Slade Green Ward in 1930. In 1945 she founded the Crayford Branch of the National Federation of Old Age Pensioners. She died in Bexley Registration District in 1986.
