Administrative HistoryThe Victoria Homes in Bourne Road, Bexley, were built by public subscription in celebration of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, on land purchased from the University of Oxford.Representatives of the various religious denominations in Old Bexley were appointed to the Board of Trustees. In 1928 the Trustees acquired Nos 33/33A North Cray Road, previously used as the Bexley Working Men's Club, for use as Alms Houses. These properties were sold in 1974. The Victoria Homes continue to be used as Alms Houses.
