DescriptionThis collection contains material that was both created and collected by Beverley Nunns. The collection is organised in to five series.
A) Subject Files: oral history interviews with residents of the Sidcup area; original programmes, brochures, cuttings and photographs recording the social and economic development of the Sidcup district.

B) Manuscript Records: These were collected by Nunns. The series includes the original deeds of Longlands House , Sidcup, (1799-1875); Frognal House Sales Particulars (1915); the minute book of The Sidcup Mutual Benefit Building Society (1882-1892); Lamorbey Park Hotel vistor's book (1923-1944); Sidcup Literary Society cuttings book and notes on various properties in Sidcup.

C) Images of the Sidcup area showing country houses, churches, buildings, villages, streets and views of Foots Cray, North Cray; Chislehurst; Sidcup and Bexley

D) Publications: The series contains copies from local street and trade directories, local area guidebooks, church guides and publications on aspects of the history of the Sidcup area.

E) Maps and Plans. This series contains both original and copies of maps and plans of estates; towns; roads and buildings in the Sidcup District.

Administrative HistoryBeverley Nunns was born in 1920 and lived in Crescent Road, Sidcup, before retiring to Deal in 1980. He was a founder member of the Lamorbey and Sidcup Local History Society in 1952 and served as chairman and secretary. Nunns was a keen local historian who published and collected material relating to the history of the Sidcup area. He died in September 1990.
