AdminHistoryThe Sidcup and District Local Association was formed in 1910 covering the parishes. of Sidcup, Chislehurst, Bexley, Bexleyheath, Crayford, Welling, East Wickham, Foots Cray and North Cray. By 1923 the Sidcup Association became too large and a separate Bexleyheath and District Local Association was formed catering for Troops who were "easily accessible from the tramway car lines". This included Crayford, East Wickham and Welling as well as Bexleyheath, but Old Bexley was only transferred from Sidcup in 1932. In 1946 the Crayford Troops were transferred to Erith and District Local Association and an East Wickham and Welling Association was formed soon after. In 1965 following the re-organisation of local government in London all districts were transferred from the County of Kent to the Greater London area.
